2. What Indie Runners is

Indie Runners is a shared calendar for running and trail races. It helps you browse races, mark yourself as going or interested, and see which of your crews are attending. Indie Runners is not a race organizer, ticketing platform, or payment processor, and is not affiliated with the events listed on the site.

The service is currently provided free of charge. If that changes in the future, these terms will be updated in advance and you will be told clearly before anything requires payment.

3. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Indie Runners.
  • Accounts are created by signing in with Google. We do not offer a separate username and password login.
  • One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, since access to it grants access to Indie Runners.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the profile information you choose to display.

4. Race data is best-effort, not guaranteed

Race dates, locations, prices, and other details shown on Indie Runners are collected automatically from third-party race websites and processed with the help of AI extraction tools. This data can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, and races can be moved, sold out, or cancelled by their organizers without our knowledge.

Always confirm race details directly with the event organizer before making travel plans or registering. Indie Runners is not liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience resulting from relying on race information shown on the site.

5. Links to other websites

Indie Runners links out to race organizer and registration websites. These links are provided for convenience and are not an endorsement. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party sites, including any payment you make on them.

6. Crews and invite links

  • Anyone can create a crew and invite others using a share link.
  • If you create or administer a crew, you are responsible for who you invite and for removing members who misuse it.
  • Invite links are meant to be shared with people you actually know. Publicly broadcasting an invite link to strangers, or using it to spam or harass people, is not allowed.
  • We may deactivate a crew or its invite link if it is being used to abuse the platform.

7. Acceptable use

When using Indie Runners, you agree not to:

  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone
  • harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • use the service to collect other users' data for purposes unrelated to using Indie Runners as intended
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its underlying systems
  • use automated tools to scrape or bulk-extract data from Indie Runners

We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of the display name, avatar, and crew names you add to your account. By adding them, you allow Indie Runners to show them to other users as part of normal use of the product (for example, showing your name to crew members who share a race with you). You are responsible for making sure this content does not violate section 7.

9. Termination

You may stop using Indie Runners and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing paulo@indierunners.co, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Indie Runners is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that race data will be accurate or current.

To the extent permitted by German law, Indie Runners is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including damages resulting from inaccurate race data or third-party links. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health, where such a limitation would not be permitted by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page, with an updated "last revised" date, before they take effect. Your continued use of Indie Runners after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer residing in another EU member state, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

Questions about these terms can be sent to paulo@indierunners.co.
