Schafberglauf is a steep mountain running race on forest paths and hiking trails ascending the Schafberg, with panoramic views over Wolfgangsee and Mondsee. Its distinctive character comes from the historic challenge of racing a Schafberg railway locomotive, making it a demanding but highly atmospheric event for runners comfortable with sustained climbs and mountain terrain.
